FROM US, FOR US
Tsinghua Youth Connect (TYCon) is a platform created by and for the second generation of Tsinghua alumni in North America. Guided by the spirit of “FROM US, FOR US,” TYCon connects youth across regions through conventions, panels, and community activities. Our mission is to build lasting friendships, foster personal growth, and strengthen the bridge between first-generation alumni and their children raised in North America.
Our Story
TYCon began in July 2023 at the 5th North America Tsinghua Alumni Convention in Washington, D.C., where the Tsinghua second-generation team hosted the first North America Tsinghua Youth Convention. The event featured engaging panels on college applications, career paths, entrepreneurship, and creative pursuits, all led by second-generation speakers and moderators.
Over 150 young participants attended, forming new friendships and connections that extended well beyond the event. The success of the inaugural TYCon inspired the creation of Tsinghua Youth Connect — a continuing community dedicated to empowering the next generation of Tsinghua youth through shared experiences, mentorship, and collaboration.
