5/3/26 SoCal Tsinghua 115th Anniversary Event at the Caltech Athenaeum

On May 3, 2026, approximately 15 Gen 2 members joined over 200 alumni at the Caltech Athenaeum Club for the annual Tsinghua Southern California Gala, which also celebrated Tsinghua University’s 115th anniversary.

The event began at 10:00 AM with three concurrent forums covering topics such as digital media and online engagement, AI integration in medical devices, and developments in AI hardware. Around noon, a ceremony was held to commemorate milestone reunion classes from 2016, 2006, 1996, and 1986, as well as to welcome new members to the Tsinghua Southern California Alumni Association.

Gen 2 attendees enjoyed a three-course lunch banquet held in the Athenaeum’s outdoor atrium, providing a relaxed setting to connect with alumni and peers.

During the event, TYCon President Megan Zhang and Regional Operations Director Raymond Yao met with both current and past alumni event organizers to build relationships and explore opportunities for support and investment.
